Birth Stories

Marshall was six weeks premature.  His was a hospital birth. 
He lived in the hospital eight and a half weeks and then died.

Even though the above picture is by Anne Geddes, the baby could so easily be Chani!  She was born at home after a labor of 1 1/2 hours. 

Ben was an emergency birth at home. 
He was 10 weeks early and weighted 4 pounds 3 ounces. 
He spent 4 weeks in the NICU. 
He had a wonderful doctor who was fully supportive of nursing. 
He came home weighing 4#9oz. and nursing 100%. 

Chamrie's birth was my longest labor. It lasted 4 hours and was nearly pain free. She arrived weighing over 8 pounds.

Chiya was born at home.  My labor with her was five contractions.

Nathan arrived after a two hour labor.  He was born at home and weighed eight and a half pounds.

Ryan was born on Nathan's 3rd birthday.  We requested a c-section for this precious breech baby. 

Cheyanne was born after 2 hours and 45 minutes.  She was born at home, a persistant posterior military presentation VBAC.  She was healthy and weighed eleven pounds.

My labor with Chalae was just over two hours.  She was born at home, a very healthy baby just under 9 pounds.  Here is an interesting story of hospital doctors overstepping authority.

Chrystal was born at home and is a healthy and beautiful daughter.  I nearly died at the birth and will need to have any future babies in the hospital.
